Be Positive

Today I choose to be positive in who I be,

how I am and what I say.

and I feel my inner critic fall away

as my heart opens to love ~ Suzie Cheel

Some days it is easy to be positive,  I wake up full of gratitude I meditate  draw an oracle card, journal, I have planned my day the night before and I am full of smiles. The world looks bright, my vibes are high and the day goes well.

Then there are the days I do all the same as above and there will be one things that throws a spanner in the works…… It might be a letter, a phone call, an email that takes me away from my intention and  I go to do my daily accountability and find little to report on

Then there are the days where I just want to climb back under the covers or even just switch off from the world, head to the beach and read a love story or escape novel.

So what to do to be positive when a bout of the low vibes rolls in?

Do something that makes you feel good-  I love having a coconut oil lavender bubble bath, lighting candles and playing music

Meditate- right now join the 21 day meditation Oprah and Deepak challenge- the first 5 days have been awesome. it”s about Miraculous Relationships, the first one being with you- the most challenging one I think 🙂

Pick up a paintbrush or even a texta and doodle. Allow your creative spirit to be free!

Go to your happy  place, mine is the beach and let your inner child out to play. build a sandcastle. cates-castle

Take out your journal and write a poem, start with the words” It’s not ending now……” the words that flow onto the paper will delight you.

Make a list of 10 things you are grateful for – being grateful always raises the vibes and moves one to positivity.

Talk to a friend- it’s amazing how I find that sharing where I am at with a friend always raise my vibes.

So today  how do you feel when you greeted the new day?  Did you wake in joy, with gratitude and love? If not what can you do to change that? .

What will you do today to feel good about you and your life?

Please share it with your friends on  Twitter and Facebook. I so appreciate you ♥

  1. Great tips to raise those vibes! I’ve probably used all of them at one time or another. For me – just being aware that I am “off” is the roadway to getting me back “on”. Then I look for something to appreciate … and there is always something to appreciate!

    Big Hugs! 😀

    1. Great tip Ellie,
when we appreciate, count our blessings and are grateful we bring the magic back into our lives.
Yes being aware I am off I recognise much quicker these days and having tools to deal with them makes the story change too
      Hugs and love

  2. Today I woke up singing…actually, I’ve been waking up singing for over a month now. It happened as I listen to my sister in law telling me a story and I embraced the lesson in it. My subconscious embraced it too. So it’s a wonderful gift and I love the change in me that little addition is making in my day. I love your list Suzie and we all share these same moments when we want to disconnect from it all…and we also have the wonderful moment when we feel in sync with all that surrounds us. The key is to continue to sing in your heart and to express yourself with creativity and self-love…(bubble baths included) 😉 Thank you for sharing your magical list!

    1. That is wonderful Nathalie- I love the idea of waking up singing is there a special song you sing? Yes I know that when one wakes with joy and yes the key is to sing in your heart as well as follow those heart whispers. Thanks for the creativity remnder. that still seems to take a back seat in my life
      with love and gratitude

  3. Most days I do wake up in a happy place but this morning woke up with Pluto heaviness overwhelming me. So, I actually did write that poem as soon as I read that 🙂 And I was amazed by what came out. Now I am off to write that gratitude list 🙂 Gratitude lists always make me feel better.

    1. Hi Louise
Your comment makes my heart sing. I love that the post spoke to you and that you took action.
Yes when we are grateful magic happens. Yes those words were how i wrote the poem that was the foundation for my book Emergings and I have recently been using it again with clients and they too are surprised and what emerges 🙂 I trust the heaviness has lifted.:)♥

  4. Hi Suzie,

When I have a blue day, I try to focus on all the little things I love about my home and my day. My little garden, my cats, cups of tea and the work I do revealing people’s soul level gifts. Also chatting with my mum, who isn’t cheered by that!

Thank-you for your wonderful heart whispers!

  5. Love how you used “The happy place” this is what we tell our little girl to do a lot when she is nervous and other things. Today has been a rough one for some reason, not sure why but, going to roll with it and let it pass! My happy Place is a spiritual retreat that my husband and I want to have…(and the beach) Thanks for the reminder and these tips on raising my vibration!

    1. Hi Lisa
Yes sometimes when we are in that hard place all we can do is roll with it and wish it on it’s way so we can get back to our happy place and feel good again. I hope today id a good vibe day for you 🙂

  6. One of my favorite things to do is put on my power song playlist and dance. Just however I feel. When I had a piano I’d play out the gook. I like to talk to friends if they are willing to listen and give advice only when I ask. Journaling helps sometimes. Other times I just want to take a nap! 🙂

    1. I love that Michelle
The power song playlist and dancing always brings joy- I think the body responds to the joy that dancing brings too.
Yes I too find a friend a nap and as you say listening is such a magical skill we have. 2 ears to listen so we hear what is really being said.
      Enjoy your naps 🙂
