Beach Inspiration: Be Releasing. be-releasing

Forgiveness is the key to letting go. Forgiveness isn’t about releasing him or her, its about releasing you!

When we let go and release:

and the list goes on, and on….

In the process of letting go you will lose many things from the past, but you will find yourself. – Deepak Chopra

Do you find letting go and releasing a challenge? I have discovered that recently I did. My mentor Marney gave me an exercise to do daily as part of my own accountability in taking action to move towards my intention. I was to release three things daily. Easy I thought until I got down to writing down each morning what I would release.

Yes now I am enjoying releasing more and  know that the more I release the freer I will feel.

When we release the past, our fears, even our plans, magic happens, joy floods in and we open the door to freedom!   Click To Tweet

  1. Releasing is just soooo bloomin’ POWERFUL isn’t it Suzie? Creates expansiveness and if we remain VERY conscious, we get to CHOOSE how we will fill that expansiveness — with our AMAZING gifts, talents and contributions! Thanks for the mention my friend! Hugs, love and of course . . . .

    Rainbow Blessings! <3

  2. Everything on your list has resonance with me Suzie. Just letting go is such a relief…and the more I practice releasing all these things the more at peace I feel.

And thank you so much for the mention on your beautiful site…I’m honoured.

    e-hugs

    1. Hi Elle,
It was my pleasure I love that we are in sync frequently.

  3. Oh, Suzie, I wish I could think of 3 things to release daily! I shall try for one a day for a few days and build on that – thanks for the hints and I only WISH I could be at a beach like that right now… land-locked in the middle of England 🙂

    1. Hi Louise and welcome,
Yes start with one a day that was how i started and may go back to that- it might just be an email subscription or a facebook group that no longer serves you 🙂 it’s a grey day here today so now beach either. I understand how you feel

  4. I have been doing a lot of releasing this past week. So much so that my body has demanded more sleep than normal and my diet has totally changed. It all feels good and it was time to let go. Thanks for such a timely blog post.

    1. My pleasure Diane, that is interesting- I have been sleeping longer than I usually do- which is great for my bones. I think I will keep on the releasing path, It is great you are feeling good about letting go 🙂

  5. Hi Suzie –

I’ve read some great posts from The Women of Facebook today. Yours is among the top in terms of posts with impact. As I read it, I realized that I’ve been releasing stuff over the last couple of weeks. I’m releasing the parts of my career that were not serving me well – the parts that contained no joy. Thanks for helping me put a name to it.

I’ll be sure to come back and read more of your work.

    1. Hi Susan,
Delighted to meet you and your comment has made my heart sing and makes me so happy that what I share helped you. it’s why i do what I do.

  6. I love clearings like this – it always seem so daunting at the time, and during the process it can be time consuming, but the freedom, clarity and sense of openness that always immediately follows (and new opportunities!) is definitely worth it. Thanks for some tips I never thought of clearing out!

  7. Thank you for this! I’ve been feeling the stirrings of needing change and perhaps what’s stopping me from starting is decluttering my life.

  8. I love the message in this post and appreciate everything on your list. I think I want to take on this challenge and reduce my Brain Clutter! The ocean image also made me take a deep breath. Thanks you!

    1. Hi Vicki,
Thank you, your comment brings a smile to my heart. I would love to hear how you go with the challenge in reducing your Brain Clutter.

  9. Dear Susie,

Thanks for sharing with us all the things you have released, that is really inspirational! Now for what I need to release, my old washing machine that leaks and has a broken door and a load of other stuff in the shed that can all go to the tip. I find as well that having a physical clear out means that I get into the energy of releasing and so then I’m ready to release things on a mental and emotional level too 😉
    Lots of love!
    Jennyxxx

    1. Hi Jenny,
That all sounds wonderful, when we release the physical stuff, we experience freedom and a new energy that allows the love within to flow and let the light in
      Namaste

  10. Wow when you list the things that you are releasing it really makes me look around at the “stuff” that I am hanging on to. Some intentional but some are not. Seeing the organizing of my computer files and unsubscribing from a few newsletters as releasing puts them in a whole new light. In fact I am going to send this blog on to someone who may also benefit from it. Cheers Suzie

PS Seeing your words in sand being released back into the water was very poetic. 🙂 LOVED IT

    1. Hi Kate
Thanks for your positive feedback and sharing the post.
Yes those computer files and releasing the email clutter I find so freeing
BTW loved you last post great reminder

  11. Suzi: This is a great post! We tend to get bogged down with so much “stuff”, mental, emotional, and physical. It is hard to progress unless we let go of the things that no longer serve us in the place we are now. Thanks for this reminder!

  12. Funny how much there is to release when you start listing everything! It does seem as if some of the releasing is negative, burdensome things that hold us back (clutter, negative thoughts, distractions) and some of the release is positive–freeing ideas to be developed, projects to take shape. Releasing the negative is SO wonderful, getting that free feeling. And then releasing the positive is so energetic, to move forward with creativity. This is inspiring me for today!

    1. Thanks Judy, love the words you have written
When when we let go of the negative stuff we let in the light and allow our creativity to shine forth
      Namaste

  13. Suzie, what a relief to let go of negative stuff that holds us back! Very insightful post. I really love that quote by Joseph Campbell. Have a great day!

  14. I have just recently let go of worrying what my traditional parents will think about me following my creative dreams. I have given myself permission to do what makes me happy, regardless of what other people think. It feels very liberating and I’m happier than I’ve ever been before.

I am really struggling with letting go of some anger with someone very close to me because she hurt me and will not acknowledge or apologize for it. She simply want to act like life continues as it did before the incident. I’m really struggling with this and I feel like it’s holding me back, sort of like I’m tied down by bitterness. I need to work on this so I can move forward.

    1. Hi Elizabeth and welcome,
That is wonderful that you are following your creative dreams, as you are finding when we do this we experience freedom.

I understand that releasing feelings of anger can be challenging. The more you love and accept yourself the easier releasing of anything that doesn’t serve up becomes easier.

Holding onto anger is like holding onto fear and blocks the love that is within.
You could start by writing everything down that you feel is blocking you from letting go of the bitterness.
      Be Love
      Suzie

  15. Suzie, I do find releasing and letting go to be a bit of a challenge.

Sometimes it’s something small like letting go from personal items that have just piled up and have become clutter.

However, I have found that it’s initially hard, but it always gets easier in the end.

It’s also liberating and I feel that it allows me to focus my energy on more important things that are coming up, instead of looking back and reflecting on the past.
