crapGet the crap out of your life!

Wow those were the words that spilled onto the pages of my journal on Wednesday followed by

” That’s anything that takes you away from shining your light on the world!”

cosmosI had just drawn the card for the day which was The Cosmos from Collette Baron-Reid Wisdom of the Hidden Realities. My first reaction to the card was well I have been feeding my creative spirit each day with my daily heart whisper painting. May the word vastness here is relevant to the words that had just flowed onto the pages of my journal?

The Cosmos asks us to pay greater attention to our creative projects. and open up the well of creativity within us and it encourages us to set clear intentions.  Most importantly take action towards your goals as this will allow you to create those ripples of change that inspire others and create more love and change in the world

I then asked myself: So what crap needs clearing and where do I start?

Where do I have crap that blocks me shining? These were the words that then flowed:

  1. The computer clutter and slowness.
  2. Unsold textiles and paintings
  3. Facebook Groups
  4. Email
  5. Clothes- I discovered last week when I was going to Sydney I had not organised my wardrobe for travel.
  6. Studio disorganised

So how does this stop me?

Lack of clarity and limits you moving forward as you are not focussed on your new moving forward plan. How can you become the inspirational speaker you plan to be?

My Heart Whispers are at work. When I do take the time to be still, ask and listen I am guided. it is time to let the past really go. Sometimes I wonder why I hold on?  Do you ever do this?

Do you have crap in your life that stops you shining?

Is it time to let go?

with love and gratitude

  1. LOL, love the question and the insights that emerged for you Suzie and thanks so much for sharing this!
Last weekend I was reflecting on where to focus my attention and energy and made a list which has helped me stay on track and make the best use of my time. Hearing you talk about the crap that’s been getting in your way to shine more, such as all those FB groups you’re not active in, just made me realise it’s time to go through the FB groups I’ve been added to without asking me and make some space;) Thanks! I’d been avoiding this for a while as there are so many but of course, the longer I postpone, the longer that list gets!
    joyful blessings, Tina

    1. Hi Tina,
thank you, makes my heart smile. Yes the crap builds up and then we drown in it. I too have been avoiding it. Now have a plan . allocating 30 mins at 5pm daily until I get it cleared and thinking of announcing on facebook that i am doing it so people don’t get offended love Suzie xx

  2. Suzie, a wonderful reminder. I’m sure you’re familiar with Brian Tracy’s East The Frog — I find that the stuff that weighs me down is the stuff I need to tackle first. Works every time. Let’s just say I’ve become the “Crap Slayer.” 🙂

  3. Perfect! It’s time for me to dedicate some energy to this again.

Since moving to our new home last year, the down-sizing and uncluttering has been an ongoing process. (We’ve got a “bottomless” box that goes to the domestic violence shelter’s thrift store every few weeks.) And you’re right — it always feels better.

Now if I could only find a way to manage my paper clutter. (I think I’d have to sign up for two or three more lifetimes to get all those books written.)

  4. Suzie, clearing the crap out is something I love doing as it creates space for more abundance to flow in. With technology in recent years clearing out the crap is even more important. It piles up on your smart phone, computer, etc. It makes me keep my home uncluttered more than ever! I just gave bags of clothes away to friends. Feels mighty good! Great article and advice.

    1. Hi Debra,
Yes we we clear we do allow the abundance to flow. yes technology which supposedly is meant to gives us more time and less paper.etc- not true 🙂

  5. Such a lovely piece of truth. I found myself decluttering during a recent full moon. As I emerged out of the closet, with “how, when, or never mind,” crappola. It feels so good to get rid of it. Out of the clutter came clarity. I see more trips of, “how, when or never mind,” occuring. Much Love Natasha

  6. Thanks for the reminder, Suzie. Getting rid of clutter and getting clarity is also something I have focus on right now. There never seems to be enough time for it, so the only way it’s gonna get done is simply to make time for it….

    1. Hi Marianne,
I relate with you on there is never enough time, I now make time every day for my art, so now i have to make time daily to clear my crap so i have more focus xx

  7. Thank Suzie for this timely post. I’m getting ready to clear the crap and open up new space for new energy to flow in….great tips on how I can get started…Blessings

  8. Great post! I am always in the process of getting rid of crap though I must confess it’s not all mine. I just happened to be married to a pack rat!! Thanks for sharing. 🙂

  9. What a heartfelt message, Suzie, and delivered so beautifully. Your list could easily be mine – I went through this crap a couple of weeks ago and suddenly shook myself and said, I refuse to be pulled down by this! And then, the following week – the meeting with The Dalai Lama happened. Imagine! I seem to have simply opened my heart to abundance!

Hugs and love to you, Suzie!

    1. Vidya thank you, i am stepping back into just being me and saying it like it is. That is wonderful, yes i feel when i let go more abundance will flow- that was awesome meeting the dali lama love suzie xx

  10. Hi a very beautiful and sincere post. We really need to clear the crap out of our life, it will give us more space for greater opportunities in life. Thanks for sharing.

  11. Clarity is a beautiful thing…and you are so right, Suzie. It takes clearing away the crap, kind of like cleaning a cloudy mirror, to get the clarity one seeks. I check in on a regular basis to see what crap needs clearing!! xxoo

    1. Hi Peggy, I like the cloudy mirror cleaning, so our of the haze comes clarity. Yes I don’t think I had been checking in often enough- or so my higher self told me. Now i am doing some daily clearing- found more ! xxoo

  12. Yes, I hold onto the crap too, Suzie! Thanks for being so honest. It’s really encouraging me to look at where I hold onto the unnecessary. Hugs to you!

      1. I do try to live relatively simply (considering that we have a small orchard to care for), but stuff still accumulates. For me, it’s the paper and computer clutter like emails. I think it’s a matter of taking time each day or each week to clear the excess, which I don’t presently do. Hope we can find a good solution!

  13. I’m right with you there Suzi… Get the Crap out of your life!!

I’ve been looking about and see stuff where I want to see space… so I’m joining you!

Shining Bright for me requires calm and space which gets me creative!

Love your quote and your beautiful background on your video 🙂

    Jacsx

    1. Thanks Jacs,
I appreciate your comment- the backgroung is some of my art quilts that i will be finally selling this week
love that you will be Shining Bright
      Suzie xx

  14. Brilliant reminder Suzie! I have never been a collector of things so when I first saw the title of your post I thought to myself, “oh, I’ve got this one covered” but when when I saw your list I realized that physical stuff isn’t the only kind of crap we collect in our lives! And yes, I definitely have some work I can do there. Perfect timing because this weekend I’m reviewing my action plan for May. Thank you!

    1. Thank you Marty. I love it when my posts inspires you to take action. i am off soom to plan May with some daily crap clearing action ♡

  15. The crap, the clutter, the whatever is all around us… It can either work for you or against you.
In my case, sometimes I found it overwhelming and at other times I find it inspirational.
Semi-organized crap seems to be working for me 🙂

    1. Love that Betty:Semi- organised crap. Think that was where i got to after we moved in here in December, just didn’t’t stay that way 🙂

  16. This is SO true. I’m not the type of author who can write surrounded by clutter, chaos, or noise. No TV, no music, no distractions – that also means no Facebook and no social media – at least when I’m creating or on a deadline. I’ve watched my son be very productive while “plugged in” – earbuds on, several pages open on his computer screen. He’s working on his Ph D, so it seems to work for him! Maybe this next generation is just wired differently.

    1. I get your son, I used to do uni assignments to TV and often have the earbuds in, obviously mt inner wisdom decided it was time to change 🙂
