The Daily Whipser

The Question: Am I truly loving and accepting ME in every moment the day?

I meditated on this question and then shuffled my cards and out flew FOLLOW YOUR HEART with the question for me? Are you really loving you and the path you are on today?

I then drew HOPE followed by INNER PEACE

Then I took out my journal and these words flowed from within.
♥ Maybe you are still doing what you feel you should be doing?
Yet you know this is holding you back.

Yesterday I received a message from a colleague and friend who wrote that at the end of the day:
I’ve realised that most of my week is taken up with housework and admin and other peep’s stuff. I shall be keeping an eye on this and scheduling in all my stuff as priority. Just realised why I often feel as though I haven’t achieved anything, when I’ve been busy all day long lol.
I now have a daily love checklist in my google drive so I focus on what I love.

my-daily-love-list

I have tried lots of other systems for being accountable and this one I started back in 2010  and then put away. This month i revived it and am still adding in daily tasks and I can see where I have to pick up my game- yes my painting and my art is almost non existent.

Yes some things are backing up- are they important? In the past I would have said yes – now no- they are not going to change the world. But I will be true to the path of my heart:

I do have my daily priorities in place.  My non-negotiables.

First is

For me I am loving me. Yet it  seems like I might not be fully following the path of my heart. 🙂

This morning I am still in bed. I had a late night  getting something right on my website that in future I will have a wonderful creative VA take care of.

Without realising I had picked up my journal as I came upstairs last night. I always have a spare deck of cards by my bed too. So a change of routine.
This is not a normal morning for me. I’m usually up by 4:30 or 5 AM and downstairs with my turmeric drink followed by hot lemon and ginger cleanser. Then I write my morning question, say my prayers, tap in ho’opononpono and spend some time listening to my inner wisdom, my guides and visualising before I put pen to paper.

Today when Follow Your Heart flew our I knew the universe was trying to get through. i have written before about the significance of fly cards. Something to take note of and observe.

I know in another exercise I did later this morning I wrote down that I wasn’t thrilled that I was not following my own wisdom!  I think i am still looking outside! That is changing as of today.

On August 28th 2011 I wrote: NOW live from love and only do what feels good..A very slow learner here.

Are you living from love? Doing only what makes you feel good? Putting your priorities first?

Live from love

  1. Loved to see you on the beach Suzie, I actually visited Australia last christmas and loved all the beautiful beaches – the sound of the waves seems to fill up my soul.
Your message about following your heart is definitely one to be re-visited because life constantly is pulling in many directions! That message from your colleague really rang true with me, so much to do running a home and a business with my partner, and giving constantly, that it is easy to let my personal love slip. But I work on this, and have made space too for my business which is my passion and am looking forward to more balance!
I have 3 spreadsheets I use for my business at the moment, and I love yours!! I use colour too.
But my next one will be all about me, just like yours 😁
    Love it 💜

  2. I love your video from the beach with the sound of the ocean. Having left the East coast for the American Southwest, I miss the ocean sounds. Thanks for making me magically feel the sand, the sun, and the ocean waves.

    1. Thank you Joyce, love that it helped you feel magical. I know that although I grew up inland away from the sea we always had a beach holiday twice a year and love where we live now- every time we think of a move away I get cold feet.
The American South west has it’s magic too- are you new mexico way?

  3. My mornings are sacred and there are rituals that are non-negotiable like prayer, reading the paper with my morning coffee and generally planning my day, Suzie. Yet there are times when I slip on my priority list and I have to remind myself that if I don’t take care of me first, then I won’t be able to take care of others. Thanks for the gentle reminder.

  4. WOW! Your colorful chart is something else and happy to hear that it’s serving you, Suzie. Happy to hear that you are moving to more self-love in your journey…and by sharing the process and journey here, you gently remind us to rise, and do the same. Big hugs attached. xoxox

    1. Thanks Lore- yes it is writing up my journal from my deep spiritual healing journey back 6 years ago that is guiding me right now. love and self love in particular was the message. Now it is back at the forefront of all that i do. The colorful chart is one I created for a productivity challenge many years ago and just rediscovered it for my current accountability. xxx

  5. I love this beautiful and nurturing post Suzie! Your daily love checkin is fabulous and I use a planner that focuses on rituals for thriving as well as my appointments each day. I was inspired by our friend Lore Raymond today to do the ABC’s of letting go, which inspired me to include ABC’s in my daily practices with a different focus. I feel so nurtured reading your blogs. Thank you!

    1. Thanks Kelley love your comments and that you find it nurturing. This is a new way of writing my blogs inspired by my coach and mentor. yes the ABC is a great exercise, i wrote a letting go list in my post today. Thank you you always make my heart sing xxx

  6. The first one or two hours of every day are for me. I pray, meditate, do a short yoga practice and write in my journal. That sets the tone for the rest of the day. Sometimes my morning ritual puts me in a place where the dishes, the laundry and the housework take a back seat and I carry that “me time” throughout the rest of the day. The work will still be there when I’m done. I tell people that, if the Queen isn’t coming for tea, the housework can wait!

    1. Love your attitude Barb, I know I am so much more productive with “me Time’ Yes the house can wait- although I have found that since I cleared the clutter and put things away as I use them , the house is tidier and feels good. xxx
