Creativity-Day -8

The title for today’s painting came as I posted the image to the page. When I started painting this morning I used a fan brush and for the first time in this series, acrylic paints rather than the watercolors I have used for the past week. The waves of the sea came to mind as I painted, the foam of the wave rolling in on the sand.

The heart then seemed the natural addition.

Then I drew this card from the Inquiry Card Deck : What is my body trying to tell me?creative=inquiry-cards

I followed this with my new morning card drawing and used  the Wisdom of The Realm Cards from Collete Baron-Reid and out came The Resting Tree: patience and silence The-Resting-tree

The message from the card was interesting for me as today I have planned a working on my website day!

The Resting Tree is a sign for you to stop focusing and planning and be at peace in the moment.  This is the representative of nonaction and relaxation.  Patience is the key to being with this Ally.

The Resting Tree asks  you to slow down, sit back, and watch the roses bloom and the birds feed in the meadow.  This isn’t the time to forge ahead in any way.  You may not be taking enough breaks, so you’re invited to be still and contemplate your good fortune, even if it means blessing the chaos in your life.

This is a sign to allow everything to fall away except the stillness of the moment; it’s like living within the space between breaths.

When the Resting Tree appears, it signals that you’ve done all you can for now and it’s time to unwind and allow your story to unfold of its own accord.  You’ve earned the right to rest and relax.

Amazing ideas will come if you do.  Remember the ancient saying, ‘we do without doing and everything gets done.

On this note I am going to go and be still, do some journaling, meditate and see what story arises for me today. Reigniting my creativity is opening my heart to new ways of being and doing. I am wondering now if this painting will become My Patient Heart? Patience has been a real teacher for me.  Another lesson in self-love!

What is your body trying to tell you?

Sometimes things aren’t clear right away. That’s where you need to be patient and persevere and see where things lead. ~Mary Pierce

  1. Ooh, I love that painting! This is so funny, I’m seeing so much this year about space, taking time…all relating to my word of the year “PEACE” – more lovely aspects to add to it now – the stillness of the moment, nonaction, patience. Thank you. xx

  2. I love your painting! I like acrylics because you can see the process the painter went through to create the picture. I love the waves in cream and the blue heart is a natural birthing from the waves.. Reminds me of Venus as I write! Have a wonderful day of rest and reflection, I think I will join you. Namaste x
