Love the boss

Love The Boss Series

I was asked by Judith Morgan to be part of her current series #Love The Boss . Stories from a women who are self-employed/work for themselves/run their own businesses/consider themselves to be entrepreneurs.

It was wonderful to reflect back on how I became my own boss. The question that Judith asked was : Did you choose self-employment or did it choose you? Any regrets?

Although I had always done something creative alongside my teaching becoming self-employed wasn’t something I chose. Well maybe part of me did but it was the circumstances that had me then choose to walk a different path.

To read my story head on over to #Love The Boss , plus my tips on loving being your own boss. I will respond to comments on the post as well as here

  1. What a great post, Suzie! It’s very candid and informative. I myself am figuring this out–being your own boss, and I think you really have to have the confidence that you’re doing the best you can and that what you do is your passion. I guess the rest of the pieces will fall into place, eventually. 🙂

  2. “Love the Boss” is a clever, powerful idea whose time has come. I loved reading your story Suzie. I was pressured out of the old workplace by bullying. The truth is, I always planned to be a writer “someday.” Someday is Here!

    1. Hi Martine,
Thanks for taking the time to read my story. Wow bullying that’s not nice- mine was that someone else was being looked after, i could have appealed, i chose to walk. At that time i chose my textile art , today i am embracing my art as well as writing.
Yes your someday is here 🙂

  3. “Don’t wait until its perfect”. I love this advice. So often we wait and wait and wait and it’s never good enough because we’re always AFRAID.

I loved your article and I’ll definitely be sharing you.

    Wonderful wonderful!
