Create: 1.to cause to come into being, as something unique that would not naturally evolve or that is not made by ordinary processes.2.to evolve from one’s own thought or imagination, as a work of art or an invention.
In the sky, there is no distinction of east and west; people create distinctions out of their own minds and then believe them to be true. -Budda
The words on the wordle image above were what sprang to mind as I began to write this post. April was for me a month of being creative with the main focus on my 21 days of painting my prescription series. My creative channels were opened up through drawing, painting, meditation, my imagination and many memories were recalled.
As well as inspiring myself I inspired others. Throughout the month there had been many comments that told me that. I had many mornings where my heart sang. Just this morning I found comments from Alex and Tess who were going to take action as my process had inspired them. Then I read a comment from Robin that stopped me in my tracks: I am loving your art and the freedom and joy that seems to express itself so abundantly in your work..….” I then wrote:
While I keeping making lists
of all the things I know are incomplete
and wonder about which way to go
I listen to my heart and it says go paint,
the rest will fall into place.
Here is a partial slide show of the prescriptions.
I must create a system or be enslaved by another mans; I will not reason and compare: my business is to create.
We create in every moment, we create our thoughts, our feelings, we create the choices we make.
