Heart Whisper Gratitude Challenge Day11

“To forgive means to let go of resentments and blame. It is a gift you give yourself, and not someone else.” – Dr Fabmancini

Full Moon Releasing Ceremony

Today July 12th is  Full Moon (perigee) It is a Super Moon that is also known as a Thunder Moon or Buck Moon in the Northern Hemisphere and a Wolf Moon, Old Moon,or Ice Moon in the southern hemisphere,.

The new moon is a time for renewal, setting goals, (I prefer to use the word intention ) planting seeds and for reflection. A time of cleansing, releasing and new beginnings.  Time to step up and even shine. Do what you are here to do.

I have documented this process last year and here are the paintings I did at the time.

Full-moon release

So what we are going to do today is  get together

Moon ceremony

Set aside 15 – 20 minutes to do the moon releasing ceremony. Depending on the weather, ideally do this outside under the moon’s light or if weather prevents this try to be by a window where you can see of feel the energy of the super moon. Even if it is raining or the sky is obscured by cloud, the moon’s energy will still touch you. Make sure it is quiet.

“Releasing what no longer brings me joy creates space, and allows the new to flow.”- Suzie Cheel

Today’s card from the  Archangel Michael Oracle Cards, which we will be using for the next 10 days unless I am guided otherwise. Moving forward fearlessly means we do have to release old thinking, patterns and more to move into the person we are becoming and the message to are going to share. Bit scary!

go forward fearlessly

My Prayer: Thank you for walking with me every step of the way, for holding my hand, giving me confidence and courage, and guiding my thoughts and actions in the direction of love and my true life’s purpose.”

  1. Hi Suzie. I do love your posts! And I love doing little rituals like this. My blog post on Friday was also about the full moon. On the last new moon I wrote my letter to wishing moon and last night burnt that list under the blessing of the full moon. Letting go of things that no longer serve, welcoming new ways of being. Great little reminders and a fun ritual too! Blessings to you, Andrea (UBC)

  2. “Time to step up and even shine. Do what you are here to do.”

This part of your article really spoke to me. Yesterday I woke up feeling as if I could burst with gratitude. In the evening, I noticed the strength and clarity of light from the moon and I felt energized. So many ideas coming to me – and with such clarity and enthusiasm.

It is time to have the courage to be seen. To share our gifts. And to let go of the stuff that’s holding us back from doing that.

Thanks Suzie for encouraging us to embrace all that is right and good and to do our work from the inside out.

    1. Welcome Marla I am smiling , you comment delights me and so happy that you were inspired to take action- have fun and keep working from the inside out ♡

  3. Hi Suzie,

Coming from today’s UBC chain. What’s a super moon? Do you call full moon a super moon? In the image, it looks like a rising sun instead of a moon.

Never read such an article before. Thanks for sharing. Will give this a try on a full moon.

    1. Hi Raspal,
Welcome and thanks for calling in. The moon rising did look like a sun, now it is higher in the sky it looks like the moon.
Here’s what they say about the Super Moon A supermoon is the coincidence of a full moon or a new moon with the closest approach the Moon makes to the Earth on its elliptical orbit, resulting in the largest apparent size of the lunar disk as seen from Earth. The technical name is the perigee-syzygy of the Earth-Moon-Sun system. The term “supermoon” is not astronomical, but originated in modern astrology.[1] The association of the Moon with both oceanic and crustal tides has led to claims that the supermoon phenomenon may be associated with increased risk of events such as earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, but the evidence of such a link is widely held to be unconvincing.[2]

The most recent occurrence was on 30 January 2014. The next occurrence will be on July 12, 2014. The closest supermoon of 2014 will be on August 10

  4. I’ve never done anything like this. With moving home and everything now pretty much packed in boxes, this isn’t the right time for me to start though. Thanks for sharing though!
