Making Art Every Day Is Empowering

In art, the hand can never execute anything higher than the heart can imagine. Ralph Waldo Emerson

heart whisper On November 1st, I joined the The Art Every Day month challenge that Leah Piken Kolidas has been running for 10 years. and yes I have painted every day.  Some days more than once. 🙂

It was back in April 2011 that I first took on a painting challenge for 21 days and then as part of my healing process I set myself the Intuitive Heart Challenge to paint 45 hearts.

Now I am doing My Heart Whisper Challenge This is proving to be a wonderful journey for me as along the way it helped me to get clarity on my brand and has birthed a new website design.  ( This is a work in progress, I have been procrastinating since July on changing my design.) it is a good feeling to finally be on the move with it.

Today I am sharing the Heart Whispers I have done so far and I have put them into a slide show for you. If there is some you would like as cards or prints, let me know in the comments or by email and I will make sure that  it is in the upcoming shop at Red Bubble.

Are you listening to the whispers of your heart?

Live with love, smile often and be forever grateful

  1. Congratulations Suzie. To do something for the pure joy of it and then to make a commitment to do it every day is so very inspiring. No matter what anyone’s “thing” is you are certainly inspiring. I aim to do something similar. Though it will likely not be painting, it will be something just for the joy of it. Thank you dear Suzie

  2. I took the Art Every Day challenge as well, though I actually have a “sketch every day” challenge all year long so it wasn’t difficult. But I never tried doing it over a theme (except if we count my last year’s Sketchbook Project entry) and now you confirmed what I already thought about doing, with the aim of connecting to Joy.
I love the purple/blue harts the best!
Hearts are appearing in my art often as well, either in literal or symbolic form. A white bird is one of my symbols for heart for example.

  3. Wow, Suzie this is just beautiful. Really love the art work with the music. Something that inspires me to place some of my daily writings with some music. So peace, so wonderful. Thanks for sharing and love the direction that you are taking!!

  4. The slide show is so beautiful! I’ve seen many of these in posts and in your weekly Heart Whisper, but they have even more power in this grouping and with music. Congratulations on going so deep into your images and your heart. You are inspiring me!

    1. You make my heart sing Nathalie, I am happy you like the music I think it works and I was wondering if I should change it
Thanks re the website- Des was wonderful with getting the structure plus so patient with my delays, it has been a bit of a marathon and there is still stuff to do ♡
